Lisa DiTiberio is an active performer and teacher who has recently relocated to the Bay Area from St. Louis, Missouri, where she was Principal Flutist with the St. Louis Philharmonic and on the faculties of Lindenwood University and St. Charles Community College. She received her Bachelors Degree from Michigan State University and a Masters from Northwestern University. She has performed with performers such as Luciano Pavarotti, the Moody Blues, the Irish Tenors, and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Ms. DiTiberio has judged competitions for the National Flute Association, the Flute Society of St. Louis, and soloed with both organizations.
Her former teachers include Alexander Murray (formerly Principal Flutist with the London Symphony and Professor of Flute at Michigan State University), Israel Borouchoff (Professor of Flute at Michigan State University), Ervin Monroe (Principal Flutist with the Detroit Symphony), Walfrid Kujala (Principal Piccolo with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Professor Emeritus at Northwestern University), and Jacob Berg (Principal Flutist with the St. Louis Symphony).
She has performed at master classes with Samuel Baron (Boston Wind Quintet), Jean Pierre Rampal (Paris Conservatoire), James Pellerite (formerly Indiana University), Peter Lloyd (London Symphony, John Krell (formerly Philadelphia Orchestra) and Walfrid Kujala (Chicago Symphony).
Most recently, Ms. DiTiberio has performed with the Mission Chamber Orchestra and the Redwood Symphony Orchestra. She frequently performs at churches on the Peninsula and teaches flute privately. She has extensive teaching experience at all levels |
