I have been taking lessons for 4 years and am playing/reading music at an average of grade 4 conservatory. I have been working on reading music more than teqnique however, and have just started working on an open hole flute which is taking a lot to get used to ! I play in a concert band once a week and I take a lesson once a week, and I improvise with a band who performs once a month. My theory is weak - there's so much to learn !!
