Flutist, Adrienne Harding made her Carnegie Hall debut as principal flutist of the 2001 National Festival Orchestra under legendary Maestro Lukas Foss. Her work has since been recognized and supported by honors such as the Leander Morris Memorial Music Scholarship, the Kappa Alpha Psi Musical Achievement Award in which she was awarded a Yamaha piccolo, and an honorable mention as Delaware Division of Arts Emerging Artist Fellow 2004. In 1999 and 2000 she won third and second prizes in the Austrian American Society’s Sommerakademie Mozarteum Scholarship competition, then triumphed in 2003 when she won the six- week full scholarship to attend the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.

Most recently, Adrienne was named one of 15 recipients to receive the prestigious US Student Fulbright grant to Salzburg, Austria. She is currently enrolled in the Masters program for interdisciplinary Music and Dance studies at the University of Salzburg, where she will also perform research at the Derra de Moroda Dance Archives, the most rare and significant dance archives in the world. Another part of her research will include community involvement in historical dance classes from the Renaissance to Mozart's time, with dance historian Natalie Gal. Additionally, she will work in two secondary schools as an English Teaching Assistant, where she will have the opportunity to share in open discussions and mutual understanding of US and Austrian cultures through her lessons with Austrian students.

Her many years of training include a master of music degree in flute performance from the University of Delaware, in addition to master class performances with Mimi Stillman, Jeffrey Khaner, Trygve Peterson, and a week-long master class given by the renowned composer/flutist, Robert Dick, where she received an Emerson Flutes Scholarship. Adrienne’s primary instructors were Kimberly Reighley, Carol Brown Beste, Eileen Grycky, Peter Lukas-Graf, and Adeline Tomasone.

Adrienne has performed as a guest artist in several concerts including legendary Grammy Award Nominee, jazz trumpeter, Donald Byrd, the Messaien Festival, and as a featured soloist for Delaware Classical Showcase for 10 years. Her chamber music collaborations with flute quartet, Flautet have received recognition from the Delaware Division of Arts and several successful performances including the world premiere of Paroxysm, written especially for Flautet by composer Diane Jones.

Her musical involvement also extends to teaching and arts advocacy. She is a professional faculty member at the University of Delaware Community Music School, an adjunct faculty member of the University of Delaware Department of Music, and has served on the board of several community arts organizations. She has been featured, photographed, and interviewed in various local media including The News Journal, Delaware Woman Magazine (cover April-May 2007), radio interview on WILM, State of the Arts, WHYY TV, and The Flutist Quarterly.
